Three years and counting here in South Florida and man does it look different than when I first moved south! It was December of 2009 and my parents asked if there was anything I needed for Christmas. My response? A GPS! A couple years later, I finally learned that 826 is the Palmetto, 836 is the Dolphin, that there are CROCODILE CROSSING signs heading to the Keys...let’s just say I know my way around pretty well now, but still love to turn on the Tom Tom to do some exploring! Where to next?

These days, while friends and relatives in New York might be dealing with snow measured in FEET, I have no problem digging MY feet in the sand on Miami Beach. I also won’t shy away from taking pics of stone crab from Monty’s and posting them online to make those same people jealous! One thing is for sure, it hasn’t been tricky recruiting out-of-town visitors since I moved to South Florida. What’s tricky is getting them to leave!

While music is my passion, I’m also a sports junkie, remaining loyal to my New York teams (“You can take the man out of...”) while secretly enjoying the theatrics of LeBron and D-Wade at a Heat game. However, if I’m not taking in a game at the Triple A or Duffy’s, chances are you’ll find me in the dj booth at a club like LIV. I guess this Gemini really does have two sides! There’s the comfy bar stool at the dive bar aficionado as well as the born entertainer perched high in the mega club. Sometimes I don’t even know who’s going to show up on any given day! While radio allows me to inform and inspire laughter, mixing music in a lively environment moves people in a completely different, equally satisfying way. Variety nourishes creativity. Not only that, but my talents afford me opportunities to travel to some really cool places (and collect some passport stamps) that I probably wouldn’t see otherwise!

From school at Syracuse University, to radio jobs back home in Binghamton, NY; Burlington, VT; Scranton, PA and Charleston, SC...I finally landed in South Florida and I think I wanna hang out here for awhile! While snow angels look prettier, I can always head back north around the holidays for that. Instead, I’ll risk getting some sand in my teeth while attempting the same on the beach!
